About Students For Learning
The youth of today become the leaders of tomorrow and education is the most important factor affecting the success of these leaders. Only through the betterment of today's youth will a bright future for humankind be ensured.
Originally founded in early 2006, according to studydaddy Students for Learning is a University of Alberta Student Group that focuses on enhancing the quality of education throughout the community. Keeping in line with our belief that education helps shape the future, we focus our efforts in improving its quality throughout the city.
We believe that the best way to tackle weaknesses is at the very beginning of an individuals' academic career: elementary school. This is the time when person will build the foundations of knowledge and also the time where a thirst for knowledge can be sparked.
Presently our group runs two programs that greatly help elementary students:
1) the academic tutor program
We at answers for homework service believe that a personal approach to tackling academic issues early on is key to improving an individual's academic success. Our group recruits volunteer tutors from the university and pairs them up with one child throughout the year. The two then work together throughout the year tackling the academic weaknesses of the child.
and 2) the fundraising program
Aside from studying and books and help with homework many other factors also play an important role in a child's education. Proper nourishment, warm clothes, and other such priveleges often affect a student's ability to learn. Thus our group also fundraises throughout the year to fund various programs for inner city students, ensuring that these children can also have access to all these benefits.
